Languages Department

MADAM NANCY ONGAKI -HEAD OF DEPARTMENT: It feels so great to belong to this department since English and Kiswahili languages are the keys to knowledge, culture and civilization. Language has become an urgent requirement to cope with globalization, exchange culture and so many things. This department has a long-term vision and big ambitions inspired by the aspirations of the school. Thank you department members for working smart to prepare the boy child for the drastic changing world. We set our standards; the world will meet us there. Thank you and May God bless you.

Science Department

MR. TOM MOMANYI - HEAD OF DEPATMENT: This is one of the largest departments in the school housing three very important subjects Biology, Physics and Chemistry. I am proud of working with staff that is very cooperative and committed to their duties. It is our wish as a department that we do not only post excellent results but we also produce vastly equipped boys who are ready to take up challenges in the science, research and innovation that are the hallmark of achieving vision 2030. Thanks to Science teachers who have gone an extra mile to ensure that the performance in these subjects is at high standards. Thank you.

Applied Subjects

MR. SAMBORA JARED -HEAD OF DEPARTMENT: This is the department of choice, with subjects of unique people. I am proud to belong here .The department houses the follow subjects headed by subject heads • Business studies • Agriculure • Music • Computer studies These are key subjects as they equip learners with essential life skills for future economic growth as individuals, communities where they come from and the country at large. The students have perennially posted excellent results in these subjects. I also thank the administration for the continuous support. God bless.

Games Department

MR. YUSUF MOMANYI -HEAD OF DEPARTMENT: A range of sports activities have been carried out in Kebirigo boys over the years. We have always moved from glory to glory in every sport calendar year trouncing a number of schools in our neighborhood. We are a school to reckon with in games activities ranging from indoors to athletics. This has won us the title “Unbeatable Warriors” Among the games activities that we participate include athletics, volleyball, soccer-both under 16 and Under 19, table Tennis, Badminton and Handball,. We have a great vision of initiating Basketball and Rugby over time. The school is well recognized for its characteristic excellent performance in athletics where we have produced students participating in games to National Level. The school has also managed to produce participants in the regional levels in both indoor and outdoor activities. Our achievements in game activities can be attributed to team work and great support from all the teachers. Examination Department

MAD POLYVIA K. ONKOBA - HEAD OF DEPARTMENT: The examination department is one of the key and most sensitive departments in our school. It comprises of six major areas; development of the examination and invigilation time tables, confirmation of the credibility of an exam together with the marking schemes, administration of the examination, coordination of marking of the examination, compilation and forwarding the result to the Director of Studies for analysis and finally release of the result. This department involves all the teaching staff under the leadership of the HOD, assisted by the Assistant HOD and Heads of Subjects. As members of this department, we have embraced the spirit of teamwork and commitment to our task in learner assessment. We work round the clock to ensure there is proper assessment of our learners in an in-depth manner for both cognitive and psychomotor skills. The learners are subjected to three comprehensive examinations each term that are marked using the Conveyer Belt System, then the result is critically analyzed and released within a set timeline. We work under set targets for each examination every term, and we work towards the achievement of these targets. I take this opportunity to extend my most sincere gratitude to the administration and the entire teaching staff of Kebirigo Boys High School for the support they’ve accorded this department leading to the realization of the set objectives.
